What is ESF

EFS describes itself as a non-profit and a non-subsidised organisation that groups (the national associations of) manufacturers, importers and distributors of Personal Protective Equipment in Europe. As such, ESF is recognised by the European authorities and stakeholders.

The effective and cooperative members of ESF and the enterprises that affiliated to the national federations are dedicated and committed to provide compliant CE certified and high quality PPE. Moreover, they link quality and service by giving expert advice and assistance in the process of risk assessment and analysis as well as training and advice in all aspects related to PPE. Supporting a safety conscious way of life is a common interest to all of us.

Mission

The European Safety Federation

• assists, protects and strengthens its members capabilities of a European level in terms of legislation, implementation of legislation, market surveillance, standardisation.
• supports the development and the promotion of Health and Safety in the workplace.
• creates awareness of occupational accident prevention and protection at all levels, emphasising the importance of proper selection.

Cooperative member

Because Sioen is a supplier of PPE, they are seen as a cooperative member. Cooperative members have input into the decision making process, influence ESF positions and actions and participate in ESF working groups.
