CO2-Neutral® label

The label is developed by CO2Logic and Vinçotte, based on PAS2060. It guarantees actively calculating, reducing and compensating climate impact.

Carbon footprint

Sioen calculates its carbon footprint annually to see where things can be improved and how we can reduce our footprint.

Siorom is CO2-neutral

Siorom, our Romanian manufacturing plant, has obtained the CO2-Neutral® label. By supporting a project in Guatemala, we offset the remaining climate impact.

Our client, Jel-Tom in Croatia used our technical textiles to produce an award-winning wave breaker. It not only protects the coastline, but also generates electricity from the sun and the force of the sea.

Energy recuperation

In all of our coating plants, the air above the machines is extracted and purified. The energy that is released is used to preheat the furnaces. The optimisation of this process is one of the reasons why our gas consumption has decreased so much.

Sustainable bulk packaging

For bulk transport from our production centres, we use reusable packaging. That way, less copies have to be produced, less raw materials are needed and there is less waste. We are optimising bulk packaging in boxes and crates.

Apparel division climate-neutral

The apparel division deploys a CO₂ neutrality plan to sustainably reduce its CO₂ emissions and offset to climate neutrality.
