Making people's lives better

An overview of all the CSR-related things we do. They show how a concerted focus on CSR benefit both the company and the communities in which we operate. We believe deeply in this potential of shared value for all our stakeholders, whether they are employees, suppliers, clients, governments, shareholders, partners, local communities, or society as a whole.

Loading docks for electric cars

Our Sioen Talents and our neighbours can charge their electric cars at one of our charging stations at our HQ. While electric cars do have a certain impact on the environment, they are still a great option for reducing your carbon footprint.

ISO 14001:2015

Sioen is ISO 14001 certified, which means that we’ve implemented an environmental management system (EMS).

Moving trees

Growth company Sioen transplants trees instead of felling them and helps to halt biodiversity loss.

Flexible eco systems: Green textile

Greentecstyle® is an innovative textile solution for vertical ecosystems that reduce heat stress in cities.

Sun protection products

Sioen is producing technical textiles that are used as sun protection in verandas, gazebos, pergolas, car park shadings and in vertical sunscreens, on windows and even facade scrims on whole buildings.

Anti-graffiti

Sioen's dirt-repellent and anti-graffiti lacquer can be applied on buildings and trailers.

Green Deal

Sioen signs the Green Deal as one of the first companies in Belgium.

Ardooie Urban Run

We sponsor the annual Ardooie (town of our HQ) Urban Run for the charity event "Stand up against Cancer". That day, people are running through our plant.

Waterfront event

We contributed to the Waterfront event to commemorate the victims who lost their lives in the spring of 1918. The fabric of the boats and cutting them into DIY kits is a Sioen realisation. The boats had messages of peace on the sails.

Green sensibilisation in our company

A project is running at Sioen headquarters to make our people aware of the sustainability initiatives running in the offices and meeting rooms. From things such as light sensors to brewing our own sparkling water, this photo reportage makes it clear.
