Sioen invests in youth development by donating EUR 10,000 contribution to VZW YouthStart for three years

Sioen supports YouthStart, a non-profit organisation dedicated to vulnerable and opportunity-seeking young people, with EUR 10,000.

Equal opportunities

At Sioen, we support equal opportunities, empowering women, and supporting minorities through various initiatives.

Christmas tree Special Olympics

We support Special Olympics Belgium by buying Christmas trees. They team up with 'Kerstboom aan huis', a distributor of Christmas trees, and part of the income goes to the social integration of people with an intellectual disability through sports.

Maggie Program

Sioen supports the non-profit organisation “Maggie Program”, a circular, sustainable and inclusive concept of pop-up schools for children worldwide.

King Baudouin Foundation

We make annual donations to the King Baudouin Foundation, a benefit foundation that is an actor for change and innovation, which perfectly fits Sioen’s ‘Protection through innovation’ point of view. Some key values are integrity and transparency.

Human rights and SDGs

Sioen supports Human Rights through SDGs, taking the OHCHR as general guideline in all its operations.

Youth employment

We’re encouraging youth employment. Young people should get equal opportunities. When starting at Sioen, you get an on-the-job practical training that helps you to swiftly start your career at a large international company.

Amfori BSCI audits

SGS, an independent auditor, audits Sioen production sites according to the 13 performance areas of Amfori BSCI.

SOS Faim

Together with OVO and SOS Faim, Sioen supports the emancipation of more than 3 000 female entrepreneurs in Senegal.

Lifelong learning

On-the-job learning trajectories and lunch and learn activities empower Sioen employees. These initiatives are part of the lifelong learning vision of Sioen.

We’re stimulating diversity, treating everybody as equal, regardless of their skin colour, religion, their sexe, age, ...

A cent a day

Our employees who work in our Indonesian branches raised money for charity. Thanks to those donations, combined with a company donation, we could buy shoes, uniforms, books, etc. for children in a socio-economically disadvantaged environment.

De warmste week

‘De Warmste Week’ is an annual solidarity initiative of the Flemish public broadcast. They raise money for charity. Sioen took part in this initiative by selling waffles to employees, by organising a tombola and by running at the ‘Warmathon’.

Medics without vacations

Sioen supports Medics without Vacation and donates medical textiles to the NGO to help them in their daily missions. Medics without vacation is a recognised NGO with a team of more than 600 doctors and nurses.

ISO/TR 30406 guideline

Sioen follows the ISO/TR 30406 guiding principles for developing and implementing sustainable employability policies.

Rising You

Sioen supports the NGO Rising You, an organisation that helps refugees in Belgium to integrate and to find a job.

Save the Children

Our Siorom plant in Romania supports the local organisation “Save the children” with regular donations. In May we donated T-shirts.

Supporting Yuca

At Sioen, supporting youth is an integral part of the vision and mission of the company. Yuca, Youth for Change and Action encourages our youth to work together towards a sustainable and just society. Every year we employ some student volunteers.

We offer superior working conditions in all our plants. We're proud of our plants and of the people who work here. Together, we lift Sioen higher.

Orphanage Myanmar

A fundraising at Sioen Myanmar amongst its employees in favour of a local orphanage. The Sioen company also contributed to the fundraising with an additional donation.

Iasa school Romania

We believe that all children should have access to school supplies. Our production plant in Romania provides the local children in the village of Iasa with everything they need for the first day of school. This includes pens, paper, books, etc.
