The apparel division deploys a CO₂ neutrality plan to sustainably reduce its CO₂ emissions and offset to climate neutrality.

De warmste week

‘De Warmste Week’ is an annual solidarity initiative of the Flemish public broadcast. They raise money for charity. Sioen took part in this initiative by selling waffles to employees, by organising a tombola and by running at the ‘Warmathon’.

Fitbees project

With the Fitbees project, we want to stimulate our employees to live healthier in a playful way. In addition, it promotes team spirit. Each participant can choose for himself or herself which goal they want to achieve after 9 weeks of training.

Sioen collaborates with NGOs, mostly as part of EU-level projects.

Green Deal

Sioen signs the Green Deal as one of the first companies in Belgium.

Medics without vacations

Sioen supports Medics without Vacation and donates medical textiles to the NGO to help them in their daily missions. Medics without vacation is a recognised NGO with a team of more than 600 doctors and nurses.

Textiles for large scale sanitation

At the Sioen group, we produce all types of technical fabrics from wovens, scrims, geomembranes, films, sheets to coated textiles for large scale industrial sanitation. They protect against leakages of all types of spills.

Restpaste reduction project

Thanks to increasing awareness, analysing data and visualising those data, we managed to reduce our amount of residual PVC to a minimum.

The “Blue Rhino concept” of SIP Protection is the first 100% circular safety trousers for chainsaw users on the market.

Women @ Sioen

The company Sioen is owned by the family Sioen. The three sisters Michèle, Danielle and Pascale Sioen manage the company with a great vision and strategy. Moreover, over 60% of all employees of Sioen are female.

Workspace transparency is vital

We're sharing information freely. Our workspace transparency creates trust between employer and employees, increases employee engagement and boosts performance.

Blue Cluster

Sioen contributes to blue growth. Sioen is part of the Blue Cluster and works towards sustainable seas and marine and towards coastal biodiversity.

Quiet zones

We’re installing unique quiet zones in and around our production units. We're convinced that offering our people a quiet place contributes to their wellbeing

Sinterklaas

Traditionally, on December 6th, Saint Nicolas comes over from Spain to bring all the good children presents and sweets. Saint Nicolas made a special stop at the Sioen headquarters and brought lots of presents for the children of Sioen personnel.

B2Bike

Sioen employees can cycle to work with a leased bicycle, thanks to B2Bike.

Ardooie Urban Run

We sponsor the annual Ardooie (town of our HQ) Urban Run for the charity event "Stand up against Cancer". That day, people are running through our plant.

Sioen Family Day

We're organising the annual Sioen family day on the Sioen HQ premises. Food, drinks and activities for young and old. A day full of pleasure and great informal contacts.

By adding art to our offices and meeting rooms, we aim to improve the working environment.
